PURPOSE: A security device using a video/environment sound is provided to extract predetermined characteristics from an analog sound signal, and to compare the extracted characteristics with a reference model of many environment sounds, then to generate a warning control signal if the characteristics are abnormal, thereby exactly monitoring whether a monitored place is normal by using a generated sound. CONSTITUTION: Many CCTV cameras(200) are installed in many monitored places, and photograph images of objects. A video controller(210) sequentially selects many image signals outputted from the CCTV cameras(200) one by one, or performs an image control function of editing the image signals in order to display many images on one screen. Many monitors(220) display the controlled images, respectively. Many microphones(240) are installed in the monitored places with the CCTV cameras(200), and convert peripheral sounds into electrical signals. An environment sound controller(250) prestores a reference model of many environment sounds to decide whether an abnormal signal is generated, extracts predetermined characteristics from sound signals outputted from the microphones(240) in real time, compares the characteristics with the reference model, and generates a warning if the characteristics are abnormal.
