A contact region has a convex portion that extends from the contact region to a sprung region. A corresponding depression is formed in the side of a strip-shaped body opposite the convex portion. The sprung region of the strip-shaped body has a curved cross-section in the region of the convex/concave portions. An Independent claim is included for an electrical connector for audio applications.
