An antenna system is disclosed that includes a mast, waveguides positioned about the mast, and a feed system positioned external to the mast and between adjacent waveguides, such the feed system can be easily serviced. Th e waveguides include spherical radiator elements that are easy to manufacture, and thus reduce the cost associated with wideband cavity-backed antennas.</SDOAB >
