PURPOSE: A valve for a compressor is provided to prevent damage of a suction valve due to concentration of stress when a piston reciprocates. CONSTITUTION: A suction valve(100) is formed as a thin circular sheet correspondingly with a valve contacting surface(S) of a piston(20) having a suction channel formed therein and linearly reciprocating in a cylinder, and comprises a fixing part(110) fixed to a front end of the piston; an opening and closing part(120) connected with the fixed part, and bent and straightened following reciprocation of the piston to open and close the suction channel of the piston; and an embossed part(121) formed on a center of the opening and closing part facing the suction channel of the piston to be curved so as to disperse stress. The embossed parts are formed on the opening and closing part correspondingly with second gas channels(24) of the piston connected with a first gas channel(23) to have diameters approximately identical with or slightly larger than inner diameters of the second gas channels.
