PURPOSE: Provided is a coating composition for an ink-jet record sheet, which has excellent water resistance and moisture resistance after printing, and shows excellent ink absorptivity and ink color developing property. CONSTITUTION: The coating composition for an ink-jet record sheet comprises 20-60 wt% of a cationic part comprising a mixture of a modified polyester and a perfectly gummed polyvinyl alcohol, and 40-80 wt% of an anionic part obtained by adding a partially gummed polyvinyl alcohol to a hydride compound of a polyester and an acrylic resin. Particularly, the cationic part comprises 70-100 wt% of the modified polyester and 0-30 wt% of the polyvinyl alcohol, and the anionic part comprises 50-70 wt% of the polyester, 20-40 wt% of the acrylic resin and 8-29 wt% of the polyvinyl alcohol. |
