METHOD AND APPARATUS OF PROVIDING PERSONAL CHANNEL SERVICE FOR PROVIDING PREFERENCE PROGRAM IN PREFERENCE TIME ZONE

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus of providing personal channel service for providing a preference program in a preference time zone are provided to automatically extract a user's preference time zone and preference program to allow the user to watch the preference program during the preference time zone. CONSTITUTION: Data of a program to be broadcasted through a TV network and program guide data are received. A user's preference time zone and a user's preference program are decided on the basis of a user's terminal utilization history, and the program guide data is updated such that the program guide data includes the user's preference time zone and preference program. An electronic program guide that guides the output of the preference program through a personal channel in the preference time zone is generated on the basis of the updated program guide data. The electronic program guide is output to the user's terminal.
