REEL BRAKE ASSEMBLY OF MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A reel brake assembly of a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is provided to reduce the number of assembly components and the assembly process, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A reel brake assembly of a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus includes a main sash, a sub-sash and a pair of reel tables. The sub-sash is installed on the main sash on which the head drum is installed. The pair of reel tables selectively drive each of the tape reel of the tape cassette rotatably installed on the sub-sash. The reel brake assembly further includes a reel cover(75) and a pair of reel brakes(71,73). The reel cover(75) is installed on the sub-deck so as to cover a portion of the reel table. The reel brakes(71,73) are connected bottom of the reel cover(75) to prevent the mis-operation of the reel tables with selectively contacting the reel tables.
