VACUUM SWITCHING APPARATUS FOR DEGASSING FACILITY

PURPOSE: A vacuum switching apparatus for degassing facility is provided in which RH facility and VTD facility are selectively used by using one vacuum system according to steel type conditions, and RH facility, VTD facility and vacuum system are simultaneously installed at a narrow place to reduce facility investment and occupied space. CONSTITUTION: The vacuum switching apparatus for degassing facility comprises a vacuum duct(10) vertically arranged between first exhaust duct (D1) of RH (Ruhrstahl-Heraeus) facility and second exhaust duct (D2) of VTD (Vacuum Tank Degasser) facility and extended from vacuum system; moving transfer cars(20a,20b) comprising a plural traveling wheels(22) put on sliding rails(21) horizontally installed directly above the first and second exhaust ducts; a traveling motor for horizontally reciprocating the moving transfer cars along the sliding rails by rotationally driving any one traveling wheel in the plural traveling wheels in both directions; lowerable and liftable motors(32a,32b) for lowering and lifting the switching duct so that any one duct in the first and second exhaust ducts is communicated with the vacuum duct by winding or unwinding chain members(33a,33b) connected to a switching duct arranged directly above the first and second exhaust ducts; and a sensor part(40) comprising first and second limit switches(41a,41b,42a,42b) for sensing touch bar of connection plate(23) connected between the moving transfer cars so as to control driving of the traveling motor and the lowerable and liftable motors.
