DEVICE FOR DISTRIBUTING/STORING LARGE IMAGE DATA OF GIS AND MANAGING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A device for distributing/storing large image data of a GIS(Geographic Information System) and a managing method thereof are provided to distribute/store the large image data not stored in a single system to many image databases, and to support operations such as integrated search and modification. CONSTITUTION: A map viewer(110) searches/outputs spatial geographic information. An image viewer(120) searches/outputs the image data. A large image data distributing/storing/managing component(130) communicates with the map viewer and the image viewer, distributes/stores the large image data not stored in the single database to many image databases, and manages access/integrated search/management for the distributed large image data like one database. A server(200) comprises a distributive storage information database(210), image databases(220), and a spatial geographic database(230).
