METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING REFRACTORIES IN CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A method for constructing refractories in converter is provided which improves operation productivity and molten steel output of the converter by minimizing brick construction operation in the converter and prevents safety accident by preventing workers from working in a narrow space for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: In a method for newly constructing inner refractories worn out in a converter for refining hot metal into molten steel, the method comprises the steps of removing the crushed bricks by crushing bricks of an inner part of the converter; removing the separated metal case by separating metal case of a lower part of the converter from a main body of the converter; connecting the assembled metal cases to the lower part of the converter main body by assembling the moved metal cases after moving lower metal cases in which new bricks are constructed at a separate workshop to a lower part of the main body of the converter; and constructing wall body bricks of the converter main body next to the bricks of an inner side of the new lower metal cases so that the inner refractories worn out in the converter are newly constructed.
