PURPOSE: Provided is an optical fiber drawing apparatus equipped with a device for reducing break of the optical fiber by increasing the bending radius of optical fiber to relax the bending stress and stress concentration during the drawing process. CONSTITUTION: The optical fiber drawing apparatus comprises a heating furnace(1) for melting an optical fiber preform to draw the optical fiber(1), a diameter measurer(3) for measuring the diameter of the optical fiber(1), a cooler(4) for cooling the optical fiber(1) before coating the optical fiber(1), a coater(5) for coating the optical fiber(1), a UV curing device(6) for curing the optical fiber(1), a capstan and a spool. In the device, at least one fixed roller(7) for changing the direction of the optical fiber(1) is disposed next to at least one device selected from the coater(5), the UV curing device(6) and the capstan. Particularly, at least one moving rollers(8,9) are disposed successively next to the fixed roller(7).
