PURPOSE: A structure for an exhaust system for automobiles is provided to improve the durability of an exhaust system, maximize a sound absorbing effect, and satisfy restrictions of accelerating noise even if a tail resonator is disused. CONSTITUTION: A muffler(10) of a car is formed of a plurality of partitions(12) formed in a cylindrical steel plate, and a plurality of pipes(13) passing through the plurality of partitions. The pipe of a broken part of the muffler is disused. A partition(12a) having the same diameter as the pipe in bell mouth type is formed on the broken part. An H bead is added to the partition(12a) for reinforcing strength, thereby minimizing vibration of the partition(12a). A plurality of minute holes are perforated on the partition where glass wool is reinforced in the muffler.
