PURPOSE: A dummy bar is provided which is capable of mechanically separating a head crop from dummy bar head without any device or workers to prevent safety accident, extend life cycle of the dummy bar head and reduce production cost. CONSTITUTION: In a dummy bar for drawing slab in the continuous casting process, the dummy bar comprises a fixed part comprising a dummy bar head(12) rotationally installed at the tip of a main body(10) of the dummy bar, connection grooves(16) which cut out an upper part of the tip of the dummy bar head, and on a rear part of both sides of which circular depressed groove is formed, and a fixed groove formed on both lands(20) of the connection grooves; and a rotation part comprising a body(24) which is inserted into the connection grooves, and at the tip of which an expansion part is formed, a projecting part(28) integrally formed at both sides of the body so that the projecting part is inserted into the depressed groove, a through hole(30) formed correspondingly to the fixed groove by passing through the body part, an elastic member inserted into the through hole, a fixed protrusion which is installed at both sides of the elastic member, and the center of which is projected, and a nut installed at an outer side of the fixed protrusion to fix the fixed protrusion.
