摘要 PURPOSE: A method for mapping the work space by using a robot is provided to have an effect of rapidly and accurately making the overall mapping diagram of the working space by mapping with synthesizing the scan information of the charging band and the scan information of the robot. CONSTITUTION: A method for mapping the work space by using a robot includes: a first step of scanning the distance and the direction of the obstacles by an ultrasonic or an infrared(IR); a second step of scanning the surround of by the ultrasonic or an IR with moving along one side of the work space; a third step of scanning the work space with communicating with the robot in a real time through an ultrasonic or an IR; a fourth step of accurately scanning(SP5) the corresponding work space by the robot by recognizing(SP4) the existence of the obstacles between the robot and the charging ban if the communication between the robot and the charging band are not realized by the ultrasonic or an IR; and a fifth step of finishing(SP6) the overall mapping diagram of the working space by mapping with synthesizing the scan information of the charging band and the scan information of the robot.
