PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for processing channel path setup in a synchronous optical transmission equipment is provided to increase convenience in operation by embodying path setup and channel signal environment setup internally in each channel and by making channel signal setup automatically achieved when a connection is made. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing channel path setup in a synchronous optical transmission equipment is comprised of an interface part(10), a single-way connection part(20), and an environment setup part(30). The interface part(10) receives and processes a user's command. The single-way connection part(20) receives the user command processed through the interface part(10) and divides it into a plurality of single-way connection requests. The environment setup part(30) determines an individual channel embedded in each channel according to the single-way connections divided by the single-way connection part(20) and automatically executes the environment setup of each associated channel. |
