PURPOSE: Provided are a method for preparing spiral spring through a simple manner of reverse-turning and apparatus for the same. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a spring(1); a band material in straight sheet form; a servo-motor(5); a winding device(10); a winding shaft(11); a supporting tool(20); and a stopper(21). The method comprises supplying the band material to the winding device(10); securing the band material to the winding shaft(11) when front end of the ban reaches the winding part; rotating the winding shaft(11) to wind the band material around the shaft, thereby to form the spiral spring(1).
