PURPOSE: A portable Karaoke machine is provided to offer a Karaoke service by downloading diverse data from a host system after easily connecting the Karaoke machine to the host system. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(110) receives/processes a voice. A sound source memory(124) outputs the Karaoke audio data. The first CODEC(COder/DECoder)(116) converts output of the microphone and the sound source memory into an audio signal. A memory stores the coded audio data. The second CODEC(126) receives/decodes the coded audio data stored in a storage(106), and recovers/outputs the decoded audio data as the audio signal. An audio amplifier(120) outputs the audio signal output from the first and the second CODEC. A USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface(130) performs the interface with an external device. A PCU(100) downloads the coded audio data from the external device through the USB interface, stores the downloaded audio data in the storage, and provides the coded audio data stored in the storage to the second CODEC.
