FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed monorail contains transport beam with symmetrically arranged running flanges over which protective arrangement is installed. Beam is essentially vertically orientated multilayer tape with even number of layers. Running flanges are made of separate rigid, for instance, concrete members of trapezoidal profile with thickening at edges and on corners. Horizontal parts of members are arranged lower than vertical parts connected with carrying tape. Working surfaces of running flanges are provided with replaceable coating over entire length made, for instance, of reinforced rubber. Protective arrangement is essentially roof of car profile secured over top of carrying tape whose layers over running flanges are divided into two.
