PURPOSE: An accompaniment apparatus is provided to display the next tune as music is played by separating music by tune, and to control length of tunes at a player's intention, thereby smoothly playing music and enabling a user to easily sing to the accompaniment. CONSTITUTION: An accompaniment apparatus consists of an input device(10), a screen display device(20), a sound display device(30), and a control device(40). The control device(40) comprises as follows. A music DB(41) stores music. A sound source DB(42) stores a sound source. A separation module(44) separates the music of the music DB(41) by tune. A screen display module(45) displays the tunes separated by the separation module(44) on the screen display device(20). A sound display module(46) displays the sound source of the sound source DB(42) on the sound display device(30). A word extracting module(47) extracts words from the music of the music DB(41). A modulation module(48) modulates the music of the music DB(41).
