PURPOSE: A method for configuring/managing an MIB(Management Information Base) using a database form on an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) manager in an NMS(Network Management System) is provided to reduce a load on a process loading the MIB by omitting the process for compiling the MIB, and to correctly judge the MIB information stored in each agent. CONSTITUTION: An SNMP manager searches the MIB data of the database form loaded to the agent(S11). The SNMP manager generates a class to load the information for an object of the MIB data(S12). The SNMP manager sorts each object in an OID(Object ID) order(S13). The SNMP manager stores the OID, an object name, a depth, leaf_Or_Not, a type, and access of each object in the class(S14). The SNMP manager makes respective classes storing the MIB data information into a MIB tree structure(S15).
