FIELD: mining; chemical industry; black and nonferrous metallurgy; building materials industry. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method to manufacture the filters for purification of water polluted with suspended substances. The filters may find application in the mining, chemical industry, black and nonferrous metallurgy and in the industries of building materials. The method of manufacturing of the filter for water purification includes a construction of the bottom in the natural or artificial water basins and a filtering layer made out of the waste products of mining (or other) industry, usage of water supplying and diverting launders. Inside the filtering layer on the bottom of the filter perpendicularly to a direction of movement of water it is necessary to erect a number of water-retaining cross dikes in the height equal to 1/3-d of the filtering layer height. Distance between the water-retaining cross dikes is calculated according to the formula: , where: "L" is the distance (in meters) between the water-retaining cross dikes; "h" is the height (in meters) of the water-retaining cross dikes; alpha is an inclination ( in degrees) of the bottom of the filter. Technical result is the increased quality of water purification. EFFECT: increased quality of water purification. |
