PURPOSE: A side airbag is provided to cover a passenger with an inflated airbag by guiding the inflation of the airbag into the passenger. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag is composed of a tether(20) attached to the outer surface of the passenger side of an airbag(6), a front adhesion unit(20a) coupled to the front of the tether, and a rear adhesion unit(20b) coupled to the rear of the tether. The tether is shorter than the surface length from the front adhesion unit to the rear adhesion unit of the airbag so that a space is formed between the tether and the airbag when the airbag is inflated.
