FIELD: sanitary and hygienic articles, in particular, manufacture of textured interdentium cleaning thread. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying water-soluble polymer covering onto thread, which had been preliminarily impregnated with said polymer; providing hardening and setting of polymer on thread in stretched state, since stretched thread has reduced thickness and is therefore readily inserted into interdentium; winding interdentium cleaning thread having reduced thickness onto core. To use interdentium cleaning thread, portion of thread is cut off from thread wound onto core and said portion is inserted into interdentium. Saliva in mouth cavity solves hardened and set water-soluble polymer to cause thread to expand and fill interdentium. Flavor, medical and other covering substances may be applied onto interdentium cleaning thread. Such substances may be of natural or synthetic origin, for example, substances contained in grasses. EFFECT: reduced diameter of thread allowing it to be readily inserted into narrow interdentium, improved shape of relaxed thread allowing interdentium to be completely filled with thread, and increased efficiency in removal of dental deposit and food from interdentium. 14 cl, 2 tbl, 1 ex |
