PURPOSE: A device for controlling back light of a mobile communication terminal is provided to control a current over a rated current to flow in an LED during predetermined time when a user presses a predetermined button, thereby increasing a current flowing into a light source of the back light during predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: When a transistor(Q1) is applied with a signal outputted from a port(GP10) of an MSM chip and is turned on, a current controller(100) connects a resistance(R2) coupled with a collector to a resistance(R1) in parallel, and changes values of the resistances(R1,R2). Only when a control signal is outputted through the port(GP10) while a user presses a predetermined button, the transistor(Q1) is turned on. The control signal is continuously outputted during predetermined time by counting time when the user does not press the button. While the control signal is outputted, the transistor(Q1) is turned on.
