FIELD: polymeric filter materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of porous materials, in particular those based on cellulose, and can be used in fabricating filters for cleaning liquids, particularly food liquids. Porous material based on fibrous cellulose material contains 20 to 50% of filler composed of silica e.g. diatomaceous earth, at least 80%, and polymer binder: polyamide resin, 0.5-3.0%. Fibrous cellulose material is a ground cellulose, 10-15%, or repulped cellulose, 35-65%. Porous material needs not any additional heat treatment.
