PURPOSE: An electron gun for a cathode ray tube is provided to compensate automatically an eccentricity of an electron gun by a supporting unit. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun for a cathode ray tube comprises a triode part having a plurality of cathodes for emitting an electron beam, a control electrode for regulating a quantity of an emission of the electron beam, and an acceleration electrode, a plurality of focus electrodes, an anode electrode applying a high voltage, and a shield cup(90). An electric conductor(91) is welded at the circumference surface of the shield cup for applying a high voltage by contacting to a conducting film layer(71). A supporting unit(99) is formed for a bottom part alignment of the electron gun at a bottom part of the electric conductor.
