PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel is provided to reduce the scan time in the wide screen by driving the scan period with dividing the scan period into at least three. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel includes a plasma display panel, at least three scan driver(31a - 36d), a sustain driving block and at least three address driving blocks. The plasma display panel is provided with a plurality of scan electrodes, a plurality of sustain electrodes and a plurality of address electrodes for displaying the display region with dividing it into at least three up and down. The at least three scan driver(31a - 36d) are connected to the one side of the plasma display panel for driving the scan electrodes. The sustain driving block is connected to the other side of the plasma display panel for driving the sustain electrodes. And, the at least three address driving blocks are coupled to the one side and the other side of the plasma display panel for driving the address electrodes. |
