REMOTE MONITORING DEVICE USING VIDEO TERMINAL AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A remote monitoring device using a video terminal and a method thereof are provided to write a short message or a multimedia message if an invader is detected by interworking a video terminal with an existing VoIP platform, and to inform a preset receiving terminal of the invasion, thereby protecting a user's information. CONSTITUTION: A video terminal(101) monitors an invader, and writes a message for informing a user that the invader is detected. A VoIP gatekeeper(102) manages/operates an IP address and a telephone number of the video terminal(101). An SMS server(103) informs the user of a short message transmitted from the video terminal(101) through a network. An SMS gateway(104) interworks the SMS server(103) with a mobile communication terminal of the user. An MMS(Multimedia Message Service) server(105) informs a video terminal or the mobile communication terminal of the user of a multimedia message transmitted from the video terminal(101). A VoIP gateway(106) interfaces an IP with a PSTN when controlling the video terminal(101) by the user.
