The use of inhibitors (I) of the tyrosine kinases c-abl, bcr/abl or c-kit and/or the tyrosine kinase associated with PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor) is claimed in the production of compositions for modulating the activity of dendritic cells in mammals (specifically humans). Independent claims are included for: (a) compositions comprising (I) and a potentiating agent (II); and (b) compositions comprising dendritic cells (specifically immature dendritic cells) treated with (I).
