The system includes a navigation device (12) connected to a GPS satellite location unit (22) communicating at each instant with an output unit (26), with information allowing use of the system and its directing towards a precise destination where it communicates with a data entry unit. The data entry unit includes a voice recognition device (10) connected to a computer (16) and to a phonemes database (14), the voice recognition device converting, by means of this phoneme database, the voice information on the chosen destination provided by the user with the aid of the computer into digital alphanumeric data transmitted by the navigation device.
