Recombinant DNA (I) encoding a recombinant chimeric protein (II) consists of at least two nucleotide fragments (A), each encoding an epitopic region of at least one microorganism; at least one sequence (B) encoding a linker, and at least one sequence (C) encoding a binding region. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) similar recombinant DNA (Ia) that lacks (C) but where (B) includes at least one cleavage site; (2) (II) encoded by (I) or (Ia), having at least two epitopic regions of at least one microorganisms, also linker and binding regions; and (3) vector that contains (I) or (Ia).
