PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To boost sound pressure of a low-pitched sound region in a speaker system using a piezoelectric diaphragm. SOLUTION: The speaker system is provided with an acoustic diaphragm 20 constituted of a hard thin plate, and the piezoelectric diaphragm 100 attached on one surface of the acoustic diaphragm 20. The acoustic diaphragm is attached on a retainer 12 via a damper member 22 composed of soft material which is stretched along an outer periphery of the acoustic diaphragm 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
