PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet processing apparatus in which intercommunications are easily performed regardless of setting of a terminal of a transmission source and a VLAN of the packet processing apparatus. SOLUTION: The packet processing apparatus is provided with a destination decision part 10 for deciding whether or not a destination address of a packet transmitted from a communication terminal 101 is a packet processing apparatus 60, a tag separation part 702 for separating a tag from a tagged packet 75, a tag storing memory 704 for storing the tag separated from the tagged packet 75, a central processing part 12 for receiving the tagged packet 75 from which the tag is separated and performing processing corresponding to the contents of the packet, and a tag addition part 703 for adding the tag to the non-tagged packet transmitted form the central processing part 12.
