PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metering device capable of detecting excess or shortage of constituents of an article, and informing of an excess or short constituent. SOLUTION: This metering device is equipped with a weight detection part 2 for detecting the weight of the article, and a controller 4 for setting a prescribed weight value of each constituent of the article, comparing a weight value detected by the weight detection part 2 with a total weight value based on the prescribed weight value of the article, to thereby determine existence of excess or shortage of the constituents of the article, and informing of the constituent pertinent to the excess or short weight value when the excess or shortage exists.
