PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic sensor at a low cost wherein error is small to fluctuation of environmental temperature using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A magnetic core SC is formed of core material having characteristic, wherein the permeability increases with the temperature rise. Temperature characteristics, regarding the conductivity of a member C to be detected, are corrected by using temperature characteristic regarding permeability of the magnetic core SC, and output from a detection coil 4 is stabilized. By the above constitution, when the temperature of usage environment increases, the output value of detection signal is corrected, since the permeability of the magnetic core SC will increase, even if the output value of the detection signal is lowered by the decrease in the eddy current generated by magnetic fluxψ. Thus a proper detection signal can be obtained suitably, irrespective of the changes in the temperature environment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
