摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of exhaust emission by properly carrying out air fuel ratio feedback control in a divided injection mode. SOLUTION: When stoichiometric combustion is carried out in a divided injection mode in which fuel is injected two or more times in one cycle, an O<SB>2</SB>sensor sometimes incorrectly detects the condition of an engine air fuel ratio to the rich side. Therefore, an amount of rich skip is made larger than an amount of lean skip by an amount of offset OS part in a feedback control, and the center of feedback control is shifted to the rich side. Thereby, the incorrectly detected part of the O<SB>2</SB>sensor is absorbed, and deterioration of exhaust emissions in the divided injection mode is suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
