PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily couple an anchor and an arm of a columnar object reinforcing device which reinforces an electric pole. SOLUTION: The columnar object reinforcing device comprises a support part abutting and supporting a columnar object such as an electric pole located near the surface of the ground and erected in the ground; an arm extending from and integrated with the support part; and an anchor for securing the tip of the arm in place, the anchor having a helical drilling blade at its bottom and having an embedding flange and a prism part at its top. The arm member is coupled to the anchor by passing the anchor through a hole of a predetermined size provided in the arm member, and fitting a two-piece washer around the anchor below the flange, the washer being greater than the hole.
