PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive lid for a type requiring a lock member and for a type not requiring any lock member without damaging its design characteristic of the lid for a washing machine and the like that is arranged on the upper surface of a main body of the washing machine in such a way that it may be opened or closed freely and the lock member having a lock part at the lid member is removably attached to it. SOLUTION: There is provided a lid device for use in opening or closing an opening part of a washing tub. A lid body 25a is constituted by a base member 26 and a covering member 27 overlapping on this base member 26 and fixed. A lock member 30 is arranged such that a lock part 30a is positioned at an inner surface of the base member 26.
