PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly manipulable fishing rod having a grip of high antislip effect. SOLUTION: The fishing rod is such one that on a circumferential surface near the reel seat 5 of the main rod 1, a pair of rod materials 6 are disposed at a position circumferentially shifted to the mount face 5a of the reel seat 5 and axially extend from a proximity of the reel seat 5 within a given range at the ear tip side/rod foot side. A fisherman makes a fishing manipulation by gripping the rod foot 1 together with the rod materials 6 near the reel seat 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
