PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an infrared temperature sensor equipped in a tip of a clinical thermometer, to measure a temperature of a measured object without being affected by an outside, to eliminate individual calibration work for a thermopile 12, linearization and the like, and to reduce a production cost thereby. SOLUTION: In this infrared temperature sensor 10, a heater is operated to heat the thermopile 12 and a thermistor 13, when an output of the first comparator comes to "1" after an output of the thermopile 12 is set zero, and after a value of the first comparison signal when the output of the first comparator comes to "0"is held, the second comparison signal is transmitted from a controller to the second comparator to maintain an output of the second comparator at "0", and a value of the second comparison signal transmitted to the second comparator is converted into a temperature by a signal processor to be displayed on a display, when the output of the first comparator comes to "0".
