PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular ambient information indicating device enabling easy recognition of an ambient situation and having high usability. SOLUTION: A vehicular ambient indicating device 100 comprises a side monitoring CCD camera 10, a rear side monitoring CCD camera 20, a picture control device 40 selecting either one of a plurality of pictures including the pictures shot by the side and rear side monitoring CCD cameras 10, 20, and a display 50 indicating the picture selected by the picture control device 40. In the picture control device 40, a specified mode is designated. The picture control device 40 selects the picture from the side monitoring CCD camera 10 when a shift lever is at a reverse position and a vehicle 1 is stopped, selects the picture from the rear side monitoring CCD camera 20 when the shift lever is at the reverse position and the vehicle 1 moves backward, and selects the picture from the side monitoring CDD camera 10 when the vehicle 1 moves forward.
