PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record high resolution radiographical information by means of a simple structure without irradiating an accumulating phosphor sheet arranged in a photographing section with radiation. SOLUTION: A recorder body 14 has a gonad protecting mechanism 76 to protect a patient's gonad against radiation and a driving mechanism 77 to move the gonad protecting mechanism 76 to a position corresponding to a photographing section 22 and cover the radiation transmission window section 22a of the photographing section 22 with the gonad protection mechanism 76. The driving mechanism 77 has a cylinder 84 fixed to the base of the instrument body 14 and a motor 90 rotating the gonad protecting mechanism 76. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
