PURPOSE: A wireless handset having a temporary ID registration function in an Internet phone is provided to temporarily register a wireless handset ID in an arbitrary Internet phone and to register the IP address of the Internet phone and the wireless handset ID together in a gatekeeper using the Internet phone as a repeater so that the user can receive a phone call, terminated to the wireless handset ID, through the arbitrary Internet phone, used as a repeater, at the third place. CONSTITUTION: A wireless handset having a temporary ID registration function in an Internet phone comprises a control part(201), a keypad(202), a display unit(203), a communication module(204), a DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(205), a memory(206), a codec module(207), a speaker phone(208), a smart card interface module(209), and a smart card recognition unit(210). The memory(206) stores programs to automatically execute ID registration to the wireless handset, based on the ID information stored in a smart card, to register the wireless handset ID in the Internet phone, and to register the IP address of the Internet phone and the wireless handset ID together in a gatekeeper. The smart card recognition unit(210) detects electrically whether a smart card is loaded. The smart card interface module(209) executes data processing for the data communication between the smart card inserted into the smart card recognition unit(210) and the control part(201). The control part(201) operates the programs stored in the memory(206). In case that a smart card is recognized by the smart card interface module(209), the control part(201) reads the ID information stored in the recognized smart card and executes a process to temporarily register the read ID as a wireless handset ID in the memory(206).
