PURPOSE: A key is provided to prevent a lock from being unlocked with other tools by allowing an opening member of the lock to be operated only when pin insertion slots and an inclined slot of the key match with an opening pin installed in the lock. CONSTITUTION: A key(1) includes a body section(2) having wing parts(8,9) formed at both sides of a cylindrical member(6). Pin insertion slots(4,4') having mutually different depths are formed in predetermined portions of the cylindrical member(6). Inclined slots(5,5') are formed in the wing parts(8,9) of the body section(2). A key insertion hole(3) of a lock has a shape corresponding to a shape of the body section(2) of the key(1). Opening pins connected to springs and releasing members are formed in the lock. When pin insertion slots(4,4') and the inclined slots(5,5') match with the opening pins, the lock is unlocked.
