PURPOSE: A method for recognizing the position of a spreader is provided to precisely land the spreader at a container by using a camera and a laser distance measuring device. CONSTITUTION: In a spreader(7) for a crane, two cameras(3a,3b) are installed at the spreader, and detect the arrangements of the spreader and a container. A laser distance measuring device(14) is installed at the lower center of the spreader, and measures the distance from the container.
