<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slippage, tilting, or transfer failure in transport, which are incident to lowering of a friction factor on a sheet surface, to prevent matching failure in paper-matching and loading failure in paper loading, deterioration of picture to the sheet surface rubbed section caused by insufficient strength of a toner fixing state for coat paper, to collate with colors and various types of sheets, and to attain stable functions. <P>SOLUTION: In a sheet processing device, a sheet fed from an image forming means which forms a picture on a sheet on the basis of prescribed image information is received, transported and stacked in a sheet stacking section. This sheet processing device is designed so that the sheet transport control can be varied in accordance with image forming conditions determined by image information. Also, in the sheet stacking section, a matching means is installed that matches sheets in the transporting direction and in the direction orthogonally crossing it, thereby enabling the matching conditions to be changed depending on image forming conditions.
