PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity and quality of a program to be developed and reduce the number of testing processes and maintenance costs. SOLUTION: This program development supporting system comprises first storage means for handling the registration of the arrays of operation regions, data items, functions and arguments and/or error processing contents in accordance with design information and storing them, second storage means for storing as scripts operation processing logics described in simplified language using the registered data items and functions, third storage means for creating a data item condition management table from the data items and the scripts and storing the condition of the data items, and program generating means for generating the program from the scripts and the condition of the data items in the data item condition management table.
