PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, a driving circuit therefor, and a driving method which reduce the occurrence of unevenness of display at start-up and effectively perform initialization processing of a display panel. SOLUTION: When a main switch of a power source part 1 is turned off in order to terminal picture display, a control part 2 detects switching from an operating state to a non-operating state of a device 10 by a turning-off signal input from the power source part 1 and stops driving control for display and inputs an operation signal for operation start to an equalizing part 4. The uniforming part 4 receives power supply from a backup power source 3 and applies an equalizing voltage Vequto one electrode of the display panel 6 to make all pixel areas discharge all at once and thus performs equalization processing.
