PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that can obtain an image output having a uniform image quality as a whole even when an image is outputted in a distributed state by using a plurality of image forming devices. SOLUTION: In this printing system which includes the plurality of image forming devices 005 and 007 and an image data server 003 and causes the image forming devices 005 and 007 to form a distributed image by diving an image forming job to the devices 005 and 007, the image data server 003 detects the minimum one of the image-formable maximum sizes of the devices 005 and 007, and sets the area of the detected minimum size as a common effective image area. Then the server 003 adjusts the image data to be processed in a distributed state by means of the image forming devices 005 and 007 so that the image formed based on the image data may be contained in the common effective image area.
