PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the coating time to be shortened in rotary coating in which a coating is sprayed to rotating works. SOLUTION: A coating apparatus is equipped with a plurality of work supply tables (3) capable of fixing a plurality of works, a table moving means (2) capable of rotatably mounting the work supply tables (3), a rotary means for rotating the work supply tables (3), and coating spray means (6) capable of spraying the coating to specific works (7) by following the movement of the work supply tables (3). In the apparatus, the work supply tables are rotated and they are moved by the table moving means. The coating is sprayed to the specific works while making the spray guns to follow the movement of the work supply tables. After the completion of the coating of the specific works, the spray guns are returned to positions before they followed, and paint is sprayed to new specific works while making the spray guns to follow the movement of the new specific works.
